Setting the Foundation - ISO28000 - Supply Chain Security
保安業在亞洲區動向-供應鏈保安系統
Mr Peter BOYCE, Senior Business Manager,
Security Management Systems (Asia)
Incidents in the US, UK and Spain have seen a marked increase in national security initiatives to counter crime and terrorism. One such countermeasure to terrorism is supply chain security.
The US, EU, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and others have, or are introducing, systems, within their respective customs and national security programs, to decrease the likelihood of international trade and transport systems being used to support crime and terrorism.
The US Customs and Boarder Protection (CBP) and the World Customs Organisation (WCO) have introduced systems that are dependant upon public-private sector partnerships for success. Governments from 147 countries intend to implement the WCO Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade, for the protection of assets and the supply chain.
The common requirement is a sound security management system. ISO 28000 sets the foundation upon which organisations can manage these national regulatory requirements.
Corporate philosophy and mission, Shangri-La now and future development, our security organisation structure, manning and threat levels, security systems, incidents and crime in relation to our hotels, manuals, security audits and strategies and procedures in managing security for the group.
